Our Mission is to be a well respected, academically excellent, warm, and nurturing urban school that cultivates a diverse community of children to become lifelong learners and leaders.

Change in Scheduled Hybrid Learning as of 10/21

As shared on Wednesday, October 21st, all students will shift to remote-only learning in all BPS schools. The Boston citywide 7 day test-positivity rate has increased to 5.7% from 4.5% the previous week. With that in mind and the continued upward trend in Covid activity, Mayor Walsh and Superintendent Cassellius have decided to suspend all in-person learning starting immediately.

All students will learn remotely until public health data shows a consistent downward trend. Students will return to in-person learning when it is safe to do so. This decision will be made by the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC).

Once the citywide seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate is below 5% for two consecutive weeks, In-Person Priority students will have the option to return to in-person learning. When the citywide seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate is below 4% for two consecutive weeks, BPS will restart the phased-in return of students for in-person learning, beginning with our youngest students and continuing with our older learners in the following weeks.

Due to the recent increase in the positive test cases in the City of Boston, to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to maintain our ability to follow safety protocols in schools buildings, BPS is delaying the next phase of in-person learning by one week under the advisement of the Boston Public Health Commission. Learn more here.

Harvard-Kent Parents Association Fall Fundraiser

This year the HKPA Fall fundraiser looks a little different but our goal remains the same to support and enhance the quality of education our children receive. This will be our only fundraiser of the school year, and will help us continue to support initiatives to help the Harvard-Kent Community.

Our goal is to raise $20,000, which is $50 per student to support our Harvard-Kent Community with remote learning during this unprecedented and challenging year. Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket(s) before October 31st or making a donation here https://go.rallyup.com/598352.

We have put together 4 amazing packages each with a $800 value.  In addition to supporting HKPA we are also supporting our local businesses.  Raffle closes October 31st and winners are notified Sunday, November 1st.
