Parents/Caregivers of K1 & K2 students: Join us on Tuesday, November 15th for Coffee with Mr. Gallagher. This will be a chance to learn about what K2-Grade 5 at the Harvard-Kent have to offer your child and your family. We will gather at 8am in the cafeteria and begin a walking tour of the school, which will go from 8:30-9:10. We will see classrooms, meet teachers, and have a chance to ask questions about what we can expect from the years beyond kindergarten at our school.
Join other parents and caregivers for a back-to-school social. It's a chance to meet other parents and talk about our ideas for how we can best support our school this year. If you can, please bring an appetizer or drink to share. Location TBD, but will be in Charlestown. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP!
Join us for our annual fall Back-to-School night! This will be a chance to meet your child's teachers and learn about the curriculum they will be following this year, as well as homework policies, and how families and caregivers can best support students' learning at home.
The schedule will be:
4:30-6pm: Visit your child's classroom to meet his/her teacher. Drop in any time. Children are welcome to accompany you, but please note that there is no child care available - children will need to stay with their families the whole time.
6-6:30pm: All-family meeting in the cafeteria. Come hear a few words from Principal Gallagher and learn about additional ways for families to get involved in our school community.
Join representatives from the Mayor's Office and Boston Public Schools for a community conversation about the new BPS "master facilities plan." More details available here.
The meeting will take place on Main Street, near the farmer's market in Thompson Square.
